Core capability

Forklift-Rated Warehouse Concrete Floors Built to Spec

A working warehouse floor endures constant punishment: loaded forklifts, reach trucks, racking posts bearing thousands of pounds, and pallet drops all shift. The slab must be engineered for it. Thickness, reinforcement, base prep, and a laser-screeded surface within flatness tolerance are not optional. Joints are detailed to the rack layout and filled with semi-rigid material so edges do not spall under wheel traffic.

That same engineering discipline applies across the industrial sector. Manufacturing plants need heavy-duty slabs that resist equipment loads and process chemicals. Food processing operations require washdown-ready systems with proper drainage and sanitation compliance. Cold storage facilities demand slabs that survive thermal cycling without cracking or lifting.

When a pour is large or the site access is tight, our in-house concrete pumping keeps material flowing continuously. Paired with coordinated ready-mix delivery, this approach ensures the slab cures evenly and achieves the flatness and durability your operation depends on.

Our process

From Spec Review to Concrete Handoff

  1. Receive and review your spec

You provide structural drawings, load ratings, flatness tolerance (FF/FL), mix design, joint layout and any process requirements. We return a written estimate with a schedule that fits your operation.

  2. Prepare base and set reinforcement

Subgrade is prepped and compacted to grade. Rebar, wire mesh and embeds are positioned per the drawings. We confirm the mix design and joint plan before ordering concrete.

  3. Place and finish to tolerance

Concrete is placed using laser screeds to hit flatness targets. The finishing crew works the surface to the specified tolerance, and joints are saw-cut on schedule and to layout.

  4. Cure, fill joints and test

The slab cures under controlled conditions. Joints are filled with semi-rigid material. Flatness and load readings are taken where required and provided to you at handoff.

Common questions

Industrial Concrete FAQs

Answers to questions about load ratings, flatness, joint detailing, food-grade systems and keeping your plant running during a pour.

Yes. We build warehouse and distribution floors and plant slabs to the load rating, slab thickness and FF/FL flatness numbers in the spec, using laser screeds and a controlled finishing sequence, and we provide the readings.
Yes. Food processing facilities get washdown-ready urethane and epoxy systems built for sanitation, and manufacturing floors can be specified chemical-resistant for the process.
Usually. We phase industrial pours bay by bay, work off-shift where it matters, and stage the work so production keeps moving while one area cures and gains strength.
Yes. We run concrete pumping for hard-to-reach and high-volume placements and coordinate ready-mix supply so large pours stay continuous.
Joints are laid out to the spec and the rack layout, saw-cut on time, then filled with a semi-rigid filler so edges hold up under hard-wheel forklift traffic.

★★★★★

New warehouse slab poured to our FF/FL spec and signed off with the readings. Racking went in straight and the forklifts run smooth across every joint.

R. T.
Distribution centre manager
★★★★★

Replaced a failing process-area floor with a food-grade urethane system. It handles the washdowns, drains properly, and passed our sanitation audit.

K. W.
Food plant maintenance
★★★★★

Poured heavy equipment pads and a wash bay on a working yard. They phased it so we never lost the shop, and the slabs take the loaders fine.

D. H.
Fabrication shop owner
★★★★★

Cold storage slab done right, thermal breaks, the correct mix, flat and tight joints. A year of cycling later there is no spalling or lift.
