Concrete Pump Rental in Gatineau

Some contractor crews need pump capacity occasionally rather than as a regular service. Gatineau Concrete offers operated pump rental by the hour, our pump and operator, your placement crew, dispatched for the specific pour you have scheduled. Pay only for the hours the pump is on site. Every booking starts with a free assessment of which pump fits your job. Every project starts with a free written estimate.

For contractor crews

What Pump Rental Actually Is

A pump rental is our pump and operator dispatched to your job for the pour you need. Your placement crew handles the concrete at the discharge end; our operator handles the pump and line. The arrangement works well for contractors who do their own placement but need pump capacity for specific pours where ground access does not allow chute discharge.

We match the pump to the pour, line pump for ground-level work, boom pump for reach jobs, and dispatch on the schedule you book. Hourly billing from arrival through clean-out means you pay for what you use rather than committing to a full-service install.

Same dispatching as our concrete pumping service work, just structured for contractor consumption. For full-service pours where we coordinate everything, see boom pump and line pump service pages.

How it works

How We Schedule a Pump Rental in Gatineau

  1. Confirm pour and pump type

We confirm the pour location, the placement zone, the pour volume, and whether line or boom pump is the right tool. The assessment is quick and usually by phone or drawing.

  2. Book and schedule

The pump and operator are booked for your pour day with the ready-mix supplier's delivery timing coordinated. Booking confirms the hourly rate, setup fee, and any minimum charge.

  3. Arrive, set up, pump

Pump truck arrives at the booked time, sets up at the position your crew identifies, line or boom is positioned to the placement zone, and pumping starts when the concrete truck is ready. Your crew handles placement.

  4. Clean out and bill actual

After the pour, line or boom is cleaned out and the truck departs. Billing is for actual hours on site (typically arrival through clean-out departure), no padding for time not used.

Why contractors rent

Rental Is the Right Structure When You Place Yourself

Contractors who do their own placement do not need full-service pour management; they need pump capacity for the specific pours where access does not allow chute discharge. Renting the pump operated by the hour gives them exactly that, no more, no less. The placement crew stays in control of the pour pace and quality; the pump operator handles the equipment side.

Coordinate with our ready-mix service if you need the concrete supply too, or with your existing ready-mix supplier if you have your own; coordinate with the rest of our concrete pumping options if scope shifts.

Common questions

Concrete Pump Rental Questions, Answered

Hourly rates, line vs boom, minimum charges and contractor expectations.

Pump plus operator. We do not rent unoperated pumps; the operator is part of the service and ensures the pump runs safely and efficiently during your pour. Your crew handles the placement end of the line.
Hourly rate with a setup fee and minimum charge. Rate depends on whether line or boom pump is dispatched. The quote at booking confirms all the numbers; there are no surprises at billing time.
Yes. The assessment is free, the quote is in writing, and you book or not based on what works for your project. No commitment until you confirm.
Yes if helpful, or you can manage the ready-mix coordination yourself. Many contractors prefer to manage their own supplier relationship; we just dispatch the pump for the agreed time.
As far ahead as you can, especially in busy season. We try to fit short-notice requests when capacity allows; booking ahead guarantees the dispatch.

Rented their line pump for a backyard slab where my chute did not reach. Hourly billing, operator was great, pour went smoothly. Way cheaper than buying my own pump for occasional use.
