When Your Floor Needs Ardex Concrete Systems
Gatineau Concrete specifies Ardex when a slab must land perfectly flat or when an overlay needs to bond seamlessly to existing concrete. We install the full Ardex system, primer, body, topcoat, to the published spec, which means the warranty is real and the floor performs as tested. Call for a free written estimate.

Substrate to finish
How Ardex Concrete Systems Solve Real Slab Problems
A slab that's out of plane, cracked, or spalled will telegraph through any decorative finish. Ardex solves this by starting with the substrate. Self-leveling underlayments (K-15, K-60) flow across an uneven slab and cure to a flat, stable base that accepts any topcoat without showing the flaws below.
For slabs that are tired but structurally sound, thin overlays (Feather Finish, SD-M, WJ-50) bond to the prepared surface and create a new, seamless finish layer. Repair mortars patch spalls and voids before the system goes down, so the slab is whole before the finish is applied.
In wet environments, Ardex waterproofing membranes protect below-grade and wet-room concrete. The same substrate-first approach underpins our garage floor epoxy and commercial floor installations.
Installation sequence
The Ardex Install Process in Gatineau
-
Assess and specify
We evaluate the slab condition, moisture profile, and the finish that will go on top, then select the right Ardex product line and lock the install sequence.
-
Prepare the substrate
The concrete is mechanically profiled to the Ardex spec, moisture tested, and primed with the manufacturer's primer system, not a substitute or shortcut.
-
Apply the system
Primer, body coat or self-leveler, and topcoat or waterproofing layer are installed in sequence at the temperature and timing the Ardex spec requires.
-
Cure and document
Each layer cures to the Ardex schedule before the next is applied. You receive product data sheets and the install record so the warranty is enforceable.
Trained and certified
What Ardex Certified Installer Status Means
An Ardex Certified Installer has been trained on the product system, knows the failure modes, and installs to the full manufacturer warranty. For you, that means the work is done the way Ardex tested it, with no shortcuts on prep, primer, or topcoat.
That same standards-first approach applies to every brand we install, from Sika waterproofing to Mapei repair systems and the full lineup of concrete products we stock and install.
